We're very excited for this weekend's sketches
How has it taken so long for one of the 'Schitt's Creek' stars to appear on the sketch show since the series launched?
Finally, us 'Schitt's Creek' fans can breathe a sigh of relief - co-creator Dan Levy will be making his 'Saturday Night Live' debut on the live show this weekend.
After their Emmy sweep last year, 'Schitt's Creek' was catapulted into the stratosphere for a whole new audience to appreciate. After six seasons of the sitcom, the comedy series bowed its head, quitting while it was still ahead.
Starring Catherine O'Hara, Annie Murphy, and Eugene and Dan Levy, the series was also nominated for multiple Golden Globe and SAG awards this past week.
Ahead of Dan Levy taking over hosting duties for this weekend's edition, 'SNL' shared a throwback to when his father Eugene appeared on the series with his fellow Canadian actor, the late John Candy.

Here's hoping one of his 'Schitt's Creek' castmates will make an appearance this weekend - Catherine O'Hara hosted two episodes in the '90s.
Joining Dan this week will be musical guest Phoebe Bridgers. In anticipation of their appearance on Saturday, Dan and Phoebe took part in the usual pre-recorded intro session, this time with comedian Aidy Bryant.
These promos always verge on fairly awkward territory, with the 'SNL' regular normally coming off as all kinds of crazy or obsessed. This week, Aidy wants the pair to give it their all this week, in order to make the show extra funny. Asking Phoebe if her songs are on the same level as Weird Al Yankovic, she begins screaming when she realises that's not her vibe.
Here's the promotional sketch for Dan Levy's appearance on 'SNL'.
