Yesterday Deadline reported that Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson had been suspended from the hit show due to an altercation on set with a writer/producer. An altercation that reportedly involved him kicking said writer/producer. Must have been a very bad day in the office.
The argument was said to be a creative dispute about the script between Gibson and co-executive producer Virgil Williams, with the actor then put on suspension for at least one episode, and losing his chance to direct an episode later in the season.
Gibson, who formerly starred in hit nineties sitcom Dharma and Greg, has now spoken out about what happened to Deadline, and said in a statement;
"There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and we always will."
Perhaps that will be the end of it then. Although this is reportedly the second incident on set for Gibson, with the first resulting in anger management classes, which eh, clearly didn't work out so well.
Hopefully this whole drama will force Hotch to keep his toys in the pram from now on.
*Update: In the latest report, Gibson has been let go from the show
