The host has signed a new deal with HBO
His self-titled 'Conan' show will be no more by summertime 2021.
Late-night chat show host Conan O'Brien will be calling it quits on 'Conan' for WarnerMedia's TBS network.
The news broke recently that the 57-year-old will be departing his talk show of eleven years by June 2021. First airing back in 2010, he managed to interview a host of amazing talent in the past such as Will Ferrell, Cardi B, and fellow chat show host Stephen Colbert.
However, it's not all bad news, as O'Brien is seemingly jumping ships to another rival TV network for a new gig. The as-yet-untitled series will be a weekly variety series with new on demand streamer HBO Max.
Alongside running 'Conan' in the past few years, the host also helmed 'Conan Without Borders' (a docuseries available on Netflix) and 'Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend', his weekly podcast series.
Of course, before all of this, Conan O'Brien was a previous cast member on 'Saturday Night Live' during the late '80s and early '90s. As often happens with comedians who leave the sketch show, he went on to form a path which led him to multiple late-night chat shows. He was also a writer on 'The Simpsons' too.
And so, in honour of his departure from late-night shows (for now), we will never forget that time Conan and Ryan Reynolds decided to create 'The Notebook 2'. By wearing the face off each-other.
