Dawn French will return
Well, at least there's one Christmas special on the way for 2020.
Vicar Geraldine Grainger will be returning to our screens to brighten up our Christmas in 'The Vicar of Dibley'. First airing on BBC One from 1994 to 2007, the series found a new home on Netflix earlier this year.
Now the BBC has announced that Dawn French will once again be donning her holy garb for a total of three specials that will air over the coming holidays. But just how well is Geraldine getting on with adapting to life during the holidays?
Word on the street is that her monthly sermons to her doting parishioners will be taking place via Zoom - so it'll be interesting to see if this new iteration of the classic sitcom can bring us the comedy.
The three specials will only last 10 minutes each and will air in the run-up to the festive period. A final compilation episode of all three together will air around Christmas for 30 minutes.
Speaking to The BBC about the news, French said she "couldn't be happier" to be back in the role, while creator Richard Curtis teased what's in store for us: "Like every village in the country, there's been a lot happening in Dibley this year - and Dawn has got a lot to say about it."
Here's the vicar's introduction to us all in that very first episode.
