Cheryl Cole
infiltrating the TV news section was inevitable really. Let's hope this is a one off. Can't promise anything.

It was reported this morning that Cole walked out of a recent interview with the BBC at Capital FM's Summertime Ball because the interviewee kept asking her life's biggest question: "Why are we here?"

A source told The Mirror: "Cheryl was happy to chat to the BBC, but it was a bit odd when they started asking her, 'Why are we here?' She took it to mean, 'Why are we at this event?' So she said that she was here promoting her new single and performing."

However they wouldn't stop there and angered her further when she realised the subject was more philosophical: "They repeated, 'Why are we here?' At that point, it seemed like a dig at her for not being worthy of being on the same bill as The Wanted and Jessie J. They repeated it again, this time saying, 'Why are we here on Earth? There was a slight pause, and then Cheryl walked off. It was obvious by then they were being daft.'

The interviewers were filming for a new BBC3 "comedy prank show" called  The Revolution Will Be Televised, which airs later this year.

The jokers were given a space backstage At the concert earlier this month, where they managed to arrange interview time with Cheryl. The source added: "They were wearing badges with BBC written on them, so you wouldn't expect something like this to happen." Said "source" is obviously too young to remember Dennis Pennis...

Anyway, Cole has since contacted the Mirror's 3AM girls via twitter to say: "@3am Fyi.. I have never walked out of an interview in my career... I had to be reminded of what your even referring to.. Stop telling lies lol."
