Could we BE any more enamoured with this character?

With the 'Friends' reunion special dropping this week, we're looking back at the hit sitcom and the six lead characters that made it iconic. In our latest installment of the series, we're checking out some highlights of Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry.

With his self deprecating remarks and constant teasing of his friends, Chandler values humour above all else.

Like the others, the character has his share of bad luck when it comes to dating across the series.

His bromance with Joey is adorable and when him and Monica started sleeping together, something just clicked and those two crazy kids wound up tying the knot and adopting two babies.

Ashamed of his parents and plagued by commitment issues, Chandler was far from an angel. But there's no doubt he remains a major fan favourite.

Here's why we think he's the best character on 'Friends.'

1. He has the best lines

Chandler Bing, no qiestion, had the best lines in the series.

There was: "You have to stop the q-tip when there’s resistance!"

"Hi, I’m Chandler. I make jokes when I’m uncomfortable."

"I’m not great at the advice. Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?"

"If I were a guy and…did I just say ‘if I were a guy?"

"Gum would be perfection."

That's only scratching the surface too. Here are more.

2. He grows from commitment phobe to ready for love

'Friends' fans will remember how early in the series, Chandler had a total phobia of committing to relationships, and would often break up with women over petty things. Then there was the episode when Rachel and Monica gave him advice for committing to his relationship with Janice, and it almost looked like Cathy was going to be the one to break Chandler's break of short-term relationships, but neither relationship worked out.

In the end, it took a very special person - that is Monica Geller - to make her way into Chandler's walled off heart. Though initially he was afraid of the idea of marriage, he eventually realised he and Monica were simply meant to be.

3. His crazy lies and people pleasing keep getting him into ridiculous trouble

Chandler opts for lying rather than being straight with people and it has gotten him into some pretty hilarious situations. There was his fling with Rachel's boss Joanna, which would eventually end with him cuffed in her office. And then there were some hilarious situations with his own boss, like when he'd pretend laugh at his jokes, and (eventually agree to) getting his butt slapped after a job well done.

And let's not forget that Chandler's lie to Janice about moving ended up with the guy on a plane to Tulsa. The lengths that man would go to...

4. He keeps making us cry

We spoke about this before with Monica, but when the couple found out they're infertile, it's truly heart-breaking, and a beautiful performance on the part of Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox.

Then there was Chandler's plea with Erica to let them adopt her baby, which also brought a tear to our eyes. And of course the proposal to Monica had us in floods.

5. His friendship with Joey is everything

We love Monica and Chandler, as we do Rachel and Ross. But Joey and Chandler truly were a match made in heaven.

Who can forget their iconic recliners, that foosball table, or when they brought home the chick and duck? Their mutual love of Baywatch was gas, and you couldn't help but cheer them on when they won Monica's apartment in the quiz.

They've had adventures with friendship bracelets, a free porn channel, a hooker, and more. Like any friends, they occasionally fight, like over a seat in "The One Where No One’s Ready", or over that Dutch girl when they play football. They still have one of the best bromances ever seen on TV.
