She said it would be a "side benefit" if he was found
'The Tiger King' celebrity says that she fully endorses the Lewis' family running the advert which appeals for information about their missing father.
Carole Baskin's ex-husband Don Lewis mysteriously disappeared in 1997, leaving no trace of his whereabouts. The case is still open all these years later, and Baskin's recent appearance on Netflix's 'Tiger King' led to many speculating that the animal sanctuary owner had something to do with it.
However, Baskin has always remained adamant that she knew nothing of her ex-husband's disappearance. The man left behind around $5 million in assets to his then-wife Baskin, which led to a huge dispute between his children and his wife. A number of months ago, Lewis' will was proven to have been a forgery.
Now that she has made her 'Dancing with the Stars' debut over in the States this past week, the star of the reality series has spoken out about the Lewis' family advert, which just so happened to run the same week as her big TV show appearance.
In the video which you can see below, Don's children and his former assistant appeal for information about his whereabouts in a 'Justice for Don Lewis' advert, with a reward of $100,000 for information on who murdered the former millionaire.
First condemning the advert and branding it "a huge publicity stunt on their part", Carole Baskin has now spoken out in favour of it. According to TMZ, Baskin's most recent take is that it would be "wonderful" if more information about her ex-husband was discovered from her featuring on 'Dancing with the Stars. She added that it would be a "side benefit" for her appearance on the reality competition.
Here's the TV advert that the Lewis family created.
