If you were watching this week's Saturday Night Show, you'll already know about this.
For those who weren't, here's what happened. Brendan O'Connor announced on-air that he's to quit the long-running show, effectively ending the show along with it.
In a statement released via Twitter, RTE confirmed that O'Connor won't be gone long from our screens as he's to lead a new series in 2016.
Ray D’Arcy confirmed for a brand new Saturday night entertainment series this autumn. Brendan O'Connor back with new series in early 2016.

In the meantime, Ray D'Arcy, who's recently returned to the state broadcaster, is to begin a brand-new entertainment series starting in the autumn.
The exact format and makeup of the show isn't yet known, but we're speculating it'll be something along the lines of what O'Connor did because, let's face it, what else is he going to do?
Is he bringing back Blackboard Jungle perhaps? The petition just started, folks.
