The comedian loved a Malteser and a Chinese takeaway
The last moments of Irish comic Brendan Grace's life was discussed by family members with Ryan Tubridy last night.
Brendan Grace passed away in July at the age of 68, following a short battle with lung cancer.
Speaking on 'The Late Late Show' last night, Brendan's wife Eileen and his two daughters Amanda and Mel joined host Ryan on the sofa, and spoke of the comic's life the best way possible - through funny stories.
In the full interview with his family (which can be viewed on the RTE Player), they spoke of such topics as how much they miss his phone calls, and how much they still talk to him even though he's no longer with them.
Speaking of their last few days spent with him in The Galway Clinic, wife Eileen said that he knew his final meal of a Chinese takeaway was going to be his last, unbeknownst to the rest of the family.
Speaking of their final meal together, daughter Mel said: "We talked, we cried, and we laughed, and we considered it the last supper.
But every single time that we thought something was near, he'd wake up the next day. [...] He seemed so well for a sick man."
