You'll probably know him best as the fella from Black Books but it looks as though Navan's very own Dylan Moran is heading off on a brand new televisual adventure in the good old US of A.
As per Deadline, the Irish comedian and writer has just inked a deal with ABC Studios to both write and star in a pilot, with the hopes of launching a brand new TV series. We still haven't heard what the show will actually be about, but we're presuming it'll be a comedy anyway.
Dylan's no stranger to the US audience thanks to his performances in Shaun of The Dead and Run Fatboy Run, but this new pilot will be his first foray into US television. We're pretty sure there are plenty of Black Books fans in the US eagerly anticipating the latest offering. He's due to tour the US next month with a brand new stand up routine, so there really couldn't be a better time to seal a deal.
Of course the potential series is a long while off yet, so in the mean time you'll just have to make do with seeing Moran alongside Brendan Gleeson and Chris O'Dowd in John Michael McDonagh's upcoming black comedy Calvary. You can catch the film in Irish cinemas from November 1st.
