If you loved 'Young Sheldon', there's good news...
Depending on where you stand on 'The Big Bang Theory', its first spin-off series 'Young Sheldon' was either manna from heaven, or a show that just prolonged the misery.
Despite the show's polarising nature, it was enormously successful during its 12 year run on CBS from 2007 - 2019, with its finale pulling in a whopping 18 million viewers. 'Young Sheldon' has been similarly successful and was recently renewed for a seventh season.
It makes sense, then, to introduce yet another show based in the BBT world - although little is known about plot or characters as yet, other than it will most likely be an hour-long series with a new cast but the "potential" for known stars to appear as guests.
Chuck Lorre - the man behind both shows - will also helm the new spin-off, which is currently in the early stages of development.
The news was broken during Warner Bros.' Press Day to announce the amalgamation of HBO Max with Discovery+: the new streaming platform which has simply been rebranded as MAX.
