Now THIS is how you do an interview

With late night talk shows now having their guests show up in studios once again, it makes you realise just how truly awful Zoom interviews have been for the past two years or so.

It means what we also would have missed out on some gems, such as this latest chat show appearance. Making a wondrous appearance on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' last night, Aubrey Plaza showed up as the Christmas Witch.

Making an incredibly elaborate entrance into the studio (and making sure her cape draped elegantly over the sofa), Plaza turned up as a beguiling character which sounds like a perfect fit for the festive season. It's important to remember, however, that the actor shares a similarity between her 'Parks and Recreation' character April Ludgate - a love for the weird, wonderful, and dark. So, naturally, Plaza's Christmas Witch is quite spooky.

It's all an amusing and elaborate introduction to a character in her children's book, 'The Legend of the Christmas Witch', which she wrote with her creative partner Dan Murphy.

For those unfamiliar with the Christmas Witch, which is certainly not a fictional character that popped out of Plaza's head, she explains the origin story of her "misunderstood character"; she is Santa Clause's twin sister, who ended up getting "shafted" as she made friends with penguins in the South Pole.

Later in her interview with Colbert, Plaza went on to "spill the tea" on some of her former acting colleagues, including Kristen Stewart, Molly Shannon and Michael Caine, whom she stars opposite in the comedy/drama 'Best Sellers'.

From what we can tell though, Aubrey Plaza and her Christmas Witch persona spins a few questionable truths about each of them as she sips on her dandelion tea.
