"Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society..."

Seeing as just about every TV show from your childhood is in the process of getting a revival, it makes sense that 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?' is now in the mix.

Not only that, movies like 'It: Chapter 2' are having huge success at the box office, and we're officially on the run up to Hallowe'en - so it all makes sense, really. This new trailer for 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?' gives the new limited series a bit of plot, reintroducing the Midnight Society and their spooky stories - except they're now coming true.

The most well-known of the cast is likely Jeremy Ray Taylor, who played Ben Hanscom in 'It', with his elder counterpart played by Jay Ryan in 'It: Chapter 2', while the director is Dean Israelite, who did the surprisingly good 'Power Rangers' reboot with Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Bryan Cranston as Zordon, and 'Stranger Things' alum Dacre Montgomery.

'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?' has been on the cards for a reboot for some time, with 'Annabelle' / 'Annabelle Comes Home' writer Gary Dauberman set to pen a screenplay with DJ Caruso directing. That iteration, of course, never made it beyond development and this limited series revival took its place.

The series kicks off on Nickelodeon on October 11th.
