It's one of the most successful sitcoms on US TV right now so it's hardly surprising to hear that Big Bang Theory stars Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki want to negotiate a pay rise, but when you hear how much they want you might think differently.
As per Deadline the trio, who play Penny, Sheldon and Leonard, want a pay packet to the tune of half a million dollars per episode. They currently earn $325,000 for their efforts and are said to be negotiating as a trio, meaning that unless everyone's happy it could all go down the swanny. Well this certainly takes us back to those Friends paycheck days of old...
Meanwhile, Simon Helberg (Howard) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj) are also looking for more money. They currently earn $125,000 and $75,000 per episode respectively.
We're sure the gang will be even more determined to bring in the extra cash given the fact that co-stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch renegotiated their contracts, reportedly doubling their pay in the process. They began Big Bang life as guest stars before becoming regulars in 2010, and will now apparently each nab about $60,000 per episode. And sure isn't that expected to rise to about $100,000 per episode by the end of their contracts?
Ah lads, sure we don't know how they cope at all....
