If we're being honest, the reaction we had to this news was a mix of "I thought Rita Ora had already quit 'The X Factor'/I forgot Rita Ora was even on 'The X Factor", but it's news none the less as Simon Cowell is left as the only judge on the show.
Ora shared the news in a tweet this morning as ITV confirmed her departure in a statement saying: "Rita brought a great energy to the show last year and did a brilliant job mentoring the girls' category, leading Louisa to victory. We wish her all the best with her music and film plans for the rest of the year."
I had a ball on @TheXFactor last year and will miss the team.

That now leaves Simon on his tod with rumours that Louis Walsh will be making a comeback with Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Mel B all apparently in the running to join the panel. So it could be a return to the show of old or we could be in for a brand new lineup. Sure half of One Direction aren't up to much these days so we're sure one of them could keep the seat warm for a season.
Look, at least we'll have Dermot back on our TVs to let us know that our Saturday night has started.
