Casting is currently underway for Game of Thrones season seven, and it's emerged that iconic actress Angela Lansbury could be joining the show.
The 90-year-old star (yes, 90) is mostly known for her role as sleuth Jessica Fletcher on the hit 80s/90s show 'Murder, She Wrote, but has had a career spanning eight decades including Broadway performances and many movie roles. Random Angela Lansbury fact is that she also spends a great deal of her time in Ballycotton, Co. Cork, and built a house there back in the 1970s.
According to German news site Bild, the actress will film a minor role over the course of four days, that will feature in two of next season's episodes.
Although HBO have yet to confirm, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise given that well-known British actor Jim Broadbent is also set to make an appearance, while Ian McShane turned up last season, however brief that turned out to be.
We have no idea what role she could play, but we're sure showrunners David Benoiff and Dan Weiss have the perfect part for her. We all know justice is needed for a few murders around Westeros... Jessica Fletcher could be just what the Seven Kingdoms need to sort things out around there.
