The mysterious trailer has us wondering what the concept will be this time around
'Home Alone' star Macaulay Culkin is about to have his first induction into the horror anthology series.
The tenth season of 'American Horror Story' has fans up the walls in anticipation. Announcing that the series will return later this year with an incredible amount of talent behind it once again, Ryan Murphy released a trailer with all of the names that are coming back for the landmark season.
Set to Orville Peck's song 'Dead of Night', the teaser trailer shows waves crashing onto a shore as the returning star's names appear in alphabetical order. First up, it's Kathy Bates, followed closely behind by new entrant Macaulay Culkin. Culkin's involvement is a surprise - but one that we're looking forward to seeing play out.
The child-actor hasn't spent much time on screen in his later years, making various cameo or short-lived appearances on the likes of 'Dollface' and 'Robot Chicken'.
Series staples Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will both return for season 10, after both of them sat out season nine's '1984'.
Emma Roberts, who played the main lead in '1984', has so far not been confirmed to make a return. However, Billie Lourd, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and Angelica Ross have also been announced as having key roles in the next 'American Horror Story' instalment, so the season already looks to be stuffed full of star quality.
Here's the teaser trailer for you.
In terms of what theme this next season might take, the use of Orville Peck's song 'Dead of Night' is an interesting choice that's worth picking apart. Could zombies be on the cards? Maybe something along the lines of 'Night of the Living Dead' with a modern twist? Zombies is a topic that Murphy hasn't really touched upon yet.
Nevertheless, expect to hear an update on season 10 of 'AHS' in the coming months. Let us know what you think the theme will be for the next season, or if you think our guess is way off the mark.
