While we're big fans of keeping up with whatever is on the old tellybox, we all know there's nothing quite like having a good old Netflix binge, and this week we even have a full extra day to do it.

So here's five show you should check out on Netflix this Paddy's Day week...

Flaked

This just arrived to the streaming service on Friday, and with just eight half-hour episodes, you will fly through it. It stars Will Arnett of Arrested Development fame as well as one of our own, Irish actress Ruth Kearney. Arnett plays a fella called Chip, described as a celebrated self-appointed "guru" and basically the most full of bullsh*t guy you could ever meet.

While Kearney plays the object of his affection, who unfortunately has caught the eye of his best mate too. It's written by Will Arnett and Mark Chappell, while Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development's creator, no less) also serves as an executive producer on the show.

Daredevil

When Netflix commissioned four shows from Marvel a couple years ago, we didn't really know what to expect. Comic book fans hoped the streaming service would do their heroes justice, while many others raised on schmaltzy superhero TV shows didn't really give it a second thought. Then Daredevil arrived in early 2015 and all expectations were blown right out of the water as we were delivered a gritty, explosive drama with fight scenes that could rival some of the best Hollywood has ever offered.

Season two of Daredevil is now just around the corner, with more destruction and despair on its way to Hell's Kitchen. It also introduces us to The Punisher as well as Elektra Natchios, a ninja assassin and also an old flame of good old Daredevil.

The much anticipated season two arrives this Friday, so make sure you are all caught up before then.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Netflix's first original comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt proved a hit with viewers last year. Created by 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, it stars Ellie Kemper (The Office) as a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York (as you do). Trust us, it's funnier than it sounds and also stars the hilarious Titus Burgess and Jane Krakowski.

The first trailer for season two dropped this week...

Jimmy Carr - Funny Business

Jimmy Carr is the first British comedian to make an original stand-up special for Netflix, and it's released to the streaming service this Friday. It sees Carr unleashes his distinctive comedy and wickedly funny one-liners to a sold out audience at the UK’s Hammersmith Apollo.

My Beautiful Broken Brain

Also arriving this Friday is an amazing new documentary about a woman’s recovery from a traumatic brain injury, with David Lynch serving as executive producer. The woman in question is Lotje Sodderland, who miraculously survives a haemorrhagic stroke and finds herself starting again in a world that is completely alien to her, bereft of language and logic.
