Well, he doesn't say it's not happening...
Kiefer Sutherland will forever be associated with Jack Bauer of '24'. Could we be seeing the iconic character return again?
After running for a total of eight seasons from 2001 to 2010, '24' was revived for the first time in 2014 series '24: Live Another Day'.
But the fans want more.
A Deadline report last September said there were "active creative discussions" of bringing the thriller back with Kiefer Sutherland returning too.
However, the actor claims he hasn't heard anything about it.
Mind you, it wouldn't be the first time an actor has fibbed about their involvement in a much anticipated project - we're looking at you, Andrew Garfield.
In an interview with NME, Kiefer Sutherland said of the '24' revival rumours: "My social media will just start going off the charts, and it’ll be the first I’ve heard of it."
He did admit though that the discussion comes up whenever he meets former showrunner Howard Gordon for a beer.
Moreover, he has an idea for what the story of the revival could be.
He says: "I think the only thing that would ever make sense – and I’ve told [Gordon] this – is that you launch the new cast because they’re trying to get me back from China or wherever the hell it is that I ended up."
Definitely a solid foundation for a comeback.
