People are still banging on about Piers Morgan's interview with Katie Price which aired over the weekend. Ergo, I must comply. When questioned about the interview, Piers said: "I defy anyone not to watch the programme and feel enormous empathy with her" (then again, Piers is biased, she did flash her unsheathed and overexposed baps in his face). Well, as it happens, I didn't see the programme, there was some paint that needed watching while it dried.
Having read nearly ever news article relating to it, however, I can relay that Katie divulged she suffered a miscarriage 12 days before Peter ended their marriage. At the time, Katie said: "Those are the facts and for him to cast himself as innocent and upset in all of this is unbelievable and hypocritical in the extreme. He is not the good guy as everyone is making out - in fact, the opposite is true."
That is undeniably rough. People might feel marginally more sympathetic towards you, Katie, if you didn't turn up to Pete's house (reportedly) with a camera crew and (allegedly) start flinging nappies at him in front of your kids (there's no evidence of a TV crew or nappy flinging in these shots). According to today's Mirror, this is what happened during their the couple's first meeting since her interview with Piers aired on Saturday:
"Pete hid his fury towards his estranged wife as she dropped off their kids Junior and Princess Tiaamii - with a TV crew in tow. But there was a distinct chill in the air and, while he was keen to pretend everything was hunky dory for the kids, Katie seemed hell-bent on winding him up. The kids are staying with their dad for the next couple of weeks while Katie flies out to America for (much needed) acting lessons. And for the second time in days, Jordan aired her dirty laundry in public... this time, literally. As she passed Princess Tiaamii over to her ex, she snarled: 'Here, she has a full nappy. Clear up your own sh*t'." Nice to have that altercation documented on film for Tiaamii to look back on. Her future schoolmates might also find it of interest.
A source continued: "Pete couldn't even look at Katie (eeeh...), he was just pleased to see the children. She made the comment about the nappy and then asked if he had enough clothes for the kids. Pete said he had plenty, and scooped up the children and gave them a big kiss and made a fuss over them so they didn’t think anything was wrong. He tried to ignore all the cameras but he was obviously annoyed that she had turned up with them. They didn't even discuss the TV interview - it was awkward and frosty."
Well, that's to be expected, people love awkward and frosty telly viewing, don't they. Just a shame it happens to co-star unwitting infants.
