He's essentially the George Clooney of the gorilla world.Â
Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Japan is home to Shabani, a gorilla who is, by all accounts, particularly handsome and has proved to be a big hit with the ladies.Â
Shabani is 18-years-old and has become a sensation on Twitter and social media in the country, with his fame now spreading worldwide thanks to his good looks.Â

Obviously he's in decent shape and has some good upper body strength, what with being a gorilla and all, but it seems that his brooding poses and Zoolander-esque facial expressions are getting him all the female attention he could want.Â

However, if you've found yourself smitten already, then we're afraid we've got bad news for you: it turns out that Shabani already has not one but two wives at the zoo, Ai and Nene. According to CNN, he's also an excellent father to his two children Kiyomasi and Annie.

A spokesperson for the zoo, Takayushi Ishikawa, stated that while his fame has come as a surprise to pretty much everyone, he hasn't been affected by it: "He seems to have noticed his new popularity, but he's kept it very cool".
