The Sligo man and his fiance Cailean O'Neill shared the news with a sweet pic on Instagram
Several months ago, Westlife's Mark Feehily revealed some big news: that he and his fiance Cailean O'Neill were going to become fathers.
Feehily broke the news on his birthday ahead of the boyband's summer gigs, revealing an ultrasound picture with the caption "This is the proudest moment of our lives and we are beyond excited to say it out loud!". During their Croke Park run, he announced that they were expecting a girl.
Now, he has revealed that their baby daughter was born on Tuesday. He posted a sweet picture of the two dads wheeling baby Layla down a hospital corridor.
"Baby Layla born safe & sound @ 7.27pm on October 1st 2019! We’re the happiest Dads in the world! ❤️????? ? x," he wrote.
The pair have been together since 2013 and it's believed that they live in Sligo - so it looks like Layla will grow up in the lovely west of Ireland.
His bandmates are amongst those who have publicly congratulate him, with Nicky Byrne commenting: "Amazing news pal. Has she heard your “note” in Wings yet?? Precious."
Others - including Kian Egan's wife Jodi Albert and Australian pop star Delta Goodrem - have sent their best wishes.
