Traveling around the world carries its own risks, and wandering in to the wrong neighbourhood at the wrong time is one of them.

That's what seemed to happen to tourist Alexander Hennessy on a trip to Buenos Aires, as part of a larger journey around the world to visit 195 countries in a project he's calling the Global Degree.

The bike tour he was on passed through a rough neighbourhood in the Argentine capital, and even though it was broad daylight, a man on a motorcycle pulled up next to him, brandished a weapon and demanded that he hand over his backpack. Without any knowledge of Spanish, Hennesy tried to guess what he was asking for, and managed to escape unharmed after offering him the bike and then making a run for it.

Thankfully, they handed over the footage to the police and the would-be robber was arrested later that day by the authorities.
