It felt like 2016 was playing it's cruelest joke of all last night with the news that George Michael had passed away at the age of 53.
Tributes have been pouring in overnight from both fans and celebrities alike as they come to terms with the loss of the pop icon.
Many have been sharing some of their favourite George Michael moments and one video that has gone viral overnight is the time the music legend appeared in the first ever iteration of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke.
Back in 2011, Corden and Michael appeared in a sketch for Comic Relief which is essentially a prototype for the Carpool Karaoke format people know and love today. It sees Corden in character as his Gavin and Stacey character, Smithy driving to the Comic Relief HQ with George Michael. After an initial amusing tiff, the pair eventually perform the Wham classic, "I'm Your Man" and needless to say the whole sketch is tele gold.
The self-deprecating humour on display was on another level.
RIP George.
