Virtual reality looks to be the next big step in video gaming technology, and if it's done right, it might well revolutionise the way we experience not only games, but possibly all forms of entertainment.

Doing it right is the key phrase there, and it seems that one company in Utah is planning on doing it justice by creating a full virtual reality theme park where all your gaming dreams will come true, and fun is guaranteed. GUARANTEED.

If you have any doubts, you need only cast your eyes upon this here video, where the people behind The Void give us a sneak peek at the work in progress, which includes 4D environments, and custom designed courses that the games will be mapped on to. You won't just be standing on a treadmill with a fake-looking plastic gun in your hand, you'll be walking around the place with a fake-looking plastic gun in your hand, pressing imaginary buttons. Alright, that sells it a bit short, just watch the video.

While Utah will be the first of them, they promise that they have Virtual Entertainment Centers (VECs) planned for "major cities throughout North and South America, Asia, Europe and Australia".
