This is something you definitely won't be seeing come midnight on New Year's Eve.
The Katakai Fireworks festival takes place every September and is over 400-years-old, and sees some of the largest and most elaborate fireworks displays in the world, and ends each year with the largest firework in the world, this 48-inch shell that just keeps on giving.
For scale, here are other normal fireworks growing in size from 2 inches all the way up to the 48-inch one that's only seen at Katakai. Remind us again why we're not allowed have these here?
