Homelessness is a very big problem in large cities around the world, and thousands of people sleep on the sidewalks of New York each night.
One of those people is Joe, a millennial from Boston who became homeless when his mother threw him out of the house after she found drugs in his room. Since then, Joe has used his ability to panhandle and his charm to make enough money to get by, as well as find a different place to sleep every night by picking up girls outside clubs or in bars.
While this seems like he's making the most of his situation and he speaks freely about the fact that he 'gets laid', he ends the interview on two sombre notes: drinking and doing drugs all the time are both the reason he's on the street and how he survives it, and that no one should ever have to be like him.
While Joe does his best to make the viewer think that this is a passable, or even "cool" way of life, we found it a little heartbreaking.
