Most of us still have the cúpla focail somewhere rattling around in our brains, but there's a decent chance that we can't speak Irish quite as well as this Brazilian girl.

Having moved to Dublin from her home country in Brazil, Natália Danzmann decided to study Irish after she had a growing interest in the music from our country, eventually discovering the language through sean-nos.

In an interview with Tuairisc, Natália explains that she was learning Irish for herself, instead of in school as a subject that she had to do, which meant that it was a more enjoyable process to become fluent in the language, while by her own admission her English is weaker.

Right, we're going to have to sign up to brush up on our Irish now... or our Portuguese. Or both.
