Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is known for his magnetic presence and his unfaltering confidence.
However, it wasn't always that way. When Johnson was beginning his sports career, he was cut from the Calgary Stampeders just two months into the 1995 season. As Johnson describes it, he went into a deep depression and essentially locked himself away from the world for an entire month.
It wasn't until his father reached out that he began to turn his life around, eventually signing up with the then-WWF and becoming one of the most recognisable wrestlers in history.
In a recent interview with OWN, Johnson described a particularly dark period of his life, openly admitting his depression and how he dealt with it.
Take a look.
Powerful stuff.
