Conor Mcgregor is the focus of a special edition of UFC Rising ahead of his huge fight in Boston this weekend, where they analyse his style in the scientific setting of the sports lab.
As McGregor is getting ready for a huge fight that could see him secure a title bout against Jose Aldo, he took time out to head along to Cal State Fullerton University and have a session with Dr. Andrew Galpin, an expert in kinesiology, who wanted to break down the combat style of one of the biggest stars in the game at the moment.
McGregor often tells his opponents that he hits harder than they've ever been hit, and he moves differently to others in the division, so host Daniel Cromier and Dr. Galpin wanted to put those claims to the test.
The full episode is below and is 22 minutes long, but if you don't have the time to commit to it all, then head to the 7 minute mark to get a look at how they break down McGregor's striking and his style of fighting scientifically, as well as his record-setting balance.
