Russell Brand loves to sit down and have a rant about pretty much anything, and we've seen him do it to brilliant effect before, but last night he sat down with the usually boring Jeremy Paxman and the two had a barny about everything from politics and voting to classism and 'reality'. It was sort of like watching chalk and cheese trying to find common ground. They both got each other's backs up pretty much immediately.
Watch as the two exchange barbs, with Paxman opening by asking 'Who are you to edit a political magazine?', in relation to Brand's upcoming guest editorship of the New Statesman, to which Russell replies 'A man who was asked by an attractive woman'.
It goes on like this, with Paxman calling Brand 'trivial' and 'facetious', and Russell laying out his beliefs on the political system in Britain and the world and he gets more and more worked up until he finally claims that a revolution is on it's way.
It's hard to not be moved by his conviction and honesty, but sometimes it feels like Russell Brand is a bit of a political evangelist on the street but just one that is lucky enough to be famous so people listen to him.
Be advised: There's some slightly NSFW language used by Brand as he gets passionate about the topics.
