Ben Payne was leading the men's race in the AJC Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on Saturday and was within a hair's breadth of winning and so commenced celebrating triumphantly only to witness Scott Overall scoot in next to him and beat him 9/100 of a second.
"I noticed out of the corner of my eye he had his arm up celebrating just before we got to the line," Overall told WXIA news. "And who gets to the line first?"
That's a bit smug, but he's not wrong.
