Wendell Sailor and Ben Ross, two former National Rugby League players, appeared on the NRL Footy Show to take part in a charity arm wrestle, when things took a nasty turn for the worse.

Sailor and Ross went at it for a few seconds before Ross' injury occurs, and even the sound of it is pretty stomach-churning, never mind the actual footage itself, which you can see below. Obviously, viewer discretion is advised.

Sailor tweeted after the event to send his best wishes to Ross, and is by all accounts feeling pretty shaken up himself after what happened. 

Here's hoping Ross makes a speedy recovery from what appears to be a pretty nasty injury.
