The Atlas V rocket launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, yesterday. The rocket was carrying a US Navy communications satellite into space, which is a relatively standard procedure, but the launch was quite spectacular.
The rocket was launched just after 6.00 A.M. which allowed the rising sun to catch the rocket's ploom trail at a certain angle which left us with this beautiful multi-coloured light show.

And here's what the rocket looked like from street view. We give it about three more hours until some conspiracy theorist throws out a UFO claim.
