Do any of us personally know Chris Brown? No, we don't. We just know what he's been charged with. Rita Ora, on the other hand, does personally know Chris Brown, so really we should take her word for it...?

Speaking with The Sun, 24-year-old Ora said: "Chris Brown is strong, powerful, and someone that is important to me personally and professionally. The discrimination and all what people think? If you have a great song then no one cares."

I dunno, call me petty, but I've sat out Chris Brown tracks at Zumba class because I don't feel comfortably shaking the groove thang to someone who one shut Rihanna's head in a car door. Say "great song, no one cares" to anyone who's ever suffered at the hands of domestic abuse.

Ora, who is currently working on a song with Brown (obvs), added: "I love him on different levels. I see how he treats his people and he's a good person with a good heart and a lovely family. It's really nice that we finally got together because, regardless of what's happened, the song is just amazing."

Despite of all the arrests, the scenario with Rihanna, that Oprah interview, the fathering a daughter with another model while he was reportedly with Karruche Tran, Rita believes he has a good heart. And she's met him personally. She should know.

As it happens, Brown has shown his redemptive side on Instagram last month. He posted the below...

"Most of my issues always deal with love and me being in my feelings. Not to mention me being a dog sometimes. I can't speak for everyone but I can say that my actions contributed a lot to my karma. Being jealous and angry and controlling. There has been times where I looked in the mirror and hated the person I see. I talk to God a lot now. He's given me so much and I feel like I waste his gifts becuz of my impulsive personality... The world is full of negativity and I feel I play a part in it becuz of the choices I've made or mistakes," Brown continued. "I always see the good in people even when they don't see it. I love others more than myself at times. Everything u see on the surface does not reflect what's inside. This is my white flag. I surrender to life and all its blessings."
