It's not often that the leader of the free world just goes strolling around the streets of Washington.
Being the President of the United States is a position that comes with lots of power and prestige, but it also means plenty of long days and not being allowed to go outside all that often. We're pretty sure Obama eats lunch al desko every day, but that's besides the point.
Yesterday, he decided to pop out to the local park for a bit of a stroll and meet the real people of Washington DC, which gave most of them a pretty big surprise.
Everyone seemed excited to see the President, in particular a couple of serious 'bros' who stopped just short of a "USA! USA! USA!" chant, but did for some reason shout "Freedom!", "Charity!", and of course "Merica!". You might only get one chance in your life to shout something at the most powerful politician in the land, might as well make it that.
Afterwards, it was straight back to work as he went to the Department of the Interior where he signed a new national monument into being, preserving an area of land in southern New Mexico. No rest for the wicked, as they say...
