Yesterday Barrack Obama presented his last series of Presidential Medals of Freedom.
Among the recipients were Ellen DeGeneres, Robert de Niro and Tom Hanks, all of whom participated in a Mannequin Challenge while waiting for the award presentation, as well as legendary basketball players Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan.
Michael Jordan in particular got a bit of teasing from POTUS (gotta say it while we can…), who Obama said is ‘more than just a logo, more than just an Internet meme,’ referring to the popular meme of Jordan crying.
Barrack also referred to Jordan as ‘the guy from Space Jam’ which, come on, is what almost everyone from outside the States thinks of him as anyway.
The audience, including Jordan himself, loved Barrack’s bit o’ craic. We’ll really miss it.
