Whether you love him or hate him, there's no denying that Seth MacFarlane is an extremely popular writer, director and actor.
The former animator commands high salaries for his work including Family Guy, American Dad! and his films all have performed well with both audiences and critics alike.
The actor held a concert in his hometown of Philadelphia for Pope Francis and, in front of a packed audience, asked the head of the Catholic Church for forgiveness for his less-than-religious comedies. "Holy Father, please forgive me. I’ve always hoped that the good Lord has a sense of humour when it comes, and pertains, to many of the movies that I’ve made."
Look, Ted 2 was pretty bad, in fairness - but asking Pope Francis for forgiveness seems a little much. Wahlberg later mentioned that one of the choir boys performing at the event told him how much he loved the film.
"He whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted... and I told him that was not appropriate for his age," explained Wahlberg.
