Some gigs you go to, you get Julia Roberts and Little Mix being trotted out on stage. Others, you get the stars telling you they're expecting. Gigs are where it's at these days.

Kelly Clarkson shared some big news in a completely impromptu manner last night as she revealed she was pregnant after getting emotional while trying to perform one of her songs.

Clarkson was performing on stage at The Staples Center in Los Angeles last night when she had to restart a song having started crying for no apparent reason, choosing that time to share her good news with the crowd.

During her song 'Piece by Piece,' Clarkson stopped the band and told the audience: "I was not planning on announcing this, but I’m totally pregnant."

"My makeup artist is backstage hating me. I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something. I would like to apologize to my husband. This was not planned. I’m just so hormonal. Everything is great, I haven’t vomited yet. That’s a win y’all."

This will be the second child for Clarkson with her husband Brandon Blackstock. Their daughter River Rose was born in June last year, and can expect a new little brother or sister sometime in 2016.
