Justin Timberlake was playing innocent when asked about the recent scandal involving his voting booth selfie on Jimmy Fallon last night.
The Trolls star posted a selfie of himself from the polling booth on Tuesday encouraging people to get out and vote but quickly deleted the post. A law was recently passed in Tennessee which makes taking photos or videos from inside the polling booth an offence punishable by up to 30 days in prison and a $50 fine.
There was an initial statement from local authorities indicating that they would be investigating the matter however they have since clarified that this statement was incorrect and that they would not be sparing their limited resources to investigate the matter.
In any case, Timberlake made light of the whole situation in the best possible way.
