Those of you who have seen Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me documentary will no doubt be keenly aware of the potential health effects of consuming little but McDonald's products for a solid month. Spurlock reported a severe downturn in his health, as you might expect, but this Iowa schoolteacher experienced different results.
While teaching his class about nutrition, Josh Cisna tasked his students with coming up with a nutrition plan for him based upon information displayed on the McDonald's website. He wasn't allowed exceed his daily allowance of calories and he had to generally receive his recommended daily allowances for vitamins etc. The result of this eating plan (and a couple of brisk walks every day)? A loss of forty pounds of body weight.
So, what you're saying is that our occasional cheat lunch in Mickey D's is actually okay? That's completely fine with us!
