The newly-minted European champion handed away his gold medal and made one girl's entire year.
22-year-old Adam Peaty set a new short-course European record and took home his first gold medal of the European Short Course Championships over the weekend and those wins clearly had him in the giving mood as afterwards he handed away his medal to the joy and surprise of one lucky fan.
At first it looked like he was just giving her the medal to hold while signing something else but then he made the shock move of taking the medal back, signing it, and then handing it over.
The look on her face says it all.
