Footage captured by bystanders shows the moment that Ford's plane got into trouble and began its descent towards the ground.
The video was recorded on the Penmar Golf Course in Venice as people began to realise that there was something wrong, and the plane above them was attempting to make a crash landing on the fairway of one of the holes.
One of those filming can be heard saying that this wasn't the first time that a plane had landed on the course, and according to reports, Ford knew that he had gotten into trouble and chose the long stretch of grass as a place that he could touch down, knowing that he wasn't going to make it to the airstrip.
Thankfully, the actor has no serious injuries, and his spokesperson issued a statement saying that "he was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery". His son also tweeted from the hospital to assure everyone that he was ok.
At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man.
