Footage has been released of Harrison Ford's near-miss with a Boeing 737 a couple of weeks ago by John Wayne Airport to Associated Press.
The video, captured by CCTV, sees Ford's vintage Aviat Husky airplane flying directly over an American Airlines Boeing 737 as it was taxiing onto the runway. According to early reports from the investigation, Ford was supposed to land on a runway directly opposite the taxiway. The American Airlines flight, with 110 passengers and six crew members aboard, departed for Dallas shortly after Ford flew over.
A previously released recording claimed that Ford asked the control tower if that airliner was supposed to be underneath him.
This isn't the first time Ford has had a few close calls. In 2015, Ford crashed a World War II-era plane onto a golf course in Los Angeles and suffered minor injuries. He's also had a couple of close-calls with flights, but has maintained a good record as a pilot for many years and owns, operates and maintains a collection of vintage aircraft.
Here's the footage. If you put the Indiana Jones theme song over it, that's your business.
