We all have a story about a departed loved one that we'd like to think was still knocking around this realm in some guise (not all the time, mind). My loved ones come in the form of yellow roses, pipe smoke, and when a nice top in my size is left discarded on a random rack in Pennys. Emma Stone's grandad is even better than that. He leaves her money. Really sound of him considering they never even met.
While we're at it, Emma Stone, is an absolute master deflection. There she is, not telling us a story about being haunted by her grandad, before naturally "segwaying" into a chat about "Magical ectoplasm". Handy given she was on Letterman to promote a film that has ectoplasm in it. Given it's a "white, milky substance" Emma could be talking about many different types of movies.
