The latest episode of Game of Thrones had some of the most gratifying moments ever on the show. Sansa telling Littlefinger where to go, Tormund giving Brienne the eye (again) and of course some male full frontal nudity.
Nudity equality is something that fans of the show have been petitioning for in the past few seasons. With the Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke also lending her voice to the cause in a recent appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Clarke is no stranger to being naked on the show herself having done several nude scenes in season 1 and of course that jaw dropping scene in episode 4 of this season where she literally brought down the house. When Stephen Colbert put topic of male nudity to Clarke on his show last night she echoed her previous thoughts on the matter: “You know, I did it; why can’t the boys do it?”
Clarke also commented on the aforementioned nude scene from episode four and how it was important to her not to use a body double.
“I did it before in Season 1, and people like to talk about it, so I just wanted to come out and do an empowered scene that wasn’t sexual; it was naked, but it was strong.”
