Donald Trump has decided to adopt a new tactic in the wake of his campaign team shake-up - admitting he was wrong.
The Republican Nominee now uses prepared remarks at rallies rather than speaking off the cuff and at an event in North Carolina yesterday, he admitted to not always choosing 'the right words' and saying 'the wrong thing'
“Sometimes, in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don’t choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that. And believe it or not, I regret it. And I do regret it, particularly where it may have caused personal pain."
However don't expect Trump to make wholesale changes to his style. In the same speech he also accused his opponent, Hillary Clinton of bigotry.
