A spectator at a cricket match went home with more than a few memories of the game when he made an amazing catch off a six and won a cash prize for his troubles.
Andrew McCulloch went to the game between the Otago Volts and the Northern Knights in Hamilton, New Zealand recently and won himself a prize of $5000 with a fantastic catch that saw him running in his bare feet to make a one-handed grab of a ball from a six that had been hit over the boundary by Volt's Michael Bracewell.
He claimed the prize thanks to a promotion that was being run in the ground at the time, and it amounts to €3,168, which isn't a bad wedge for a day's work...especially if that work includes drinking beer and watching sport.
