Sometimes, thanks to the illusion shows like Friends have set up for us, we do forget that New York is a high octane city full of cold, crazed people who will shoot you in a second if they don't like what you do. And you don't even have to be a tourist to be on the receiving end, as they're prepared to throw down with each other over the smallest of things.
Case in point, this one New Yorker who simply wants to enjoy some relative peace and quiet without having to listen to someone bellow into a trumpet. Except that instead of just asking him to stop, or shouting to shut up from a distance, he confronts the trumpeter and has a full-on meltdown at him. It's nearly so entertaining and Woody Allen-esque that we're questioning whether it's a set up or not. But New York being New York, it's probably real.
