We want to take him seriously but when someone is dressed like a dodgy uncle in the '80s selling used car parts on the side for an extra pit of cash, it's hard to hear anything they say.
Ahead of his fight against Floyd Mayweather on August 26th, Conor McGregor phoned in an appearance on 'Conan' via video link from Las Vegas last night and confidently promised to "put him away inside four rounds".
O'Brien hit McGregor with several questions, mostly asking him to reply to things Mayweather has said about him and what he expects to happen in the fight, all of which McGregor poo-pooed.
"I said four, but that’s me being humble," he told Conan. "I don’t believe he will even exit the first round, but I’m trying to be humble on national TV. So I say four — inside four."
"I’m feeling very confident I can walk through any shot and break him down," McGregor said.
Mayweather is still the bookies favourite so we guess we'll just have to wait and see if McGregor's bite can live up to all his bark next weekend.
